Revolutionizing Sustainable Exhibitions: BuildAR Takes Top Prize at Hack48!
We are thrilled to announce that BuildAR has won first place in the Environmental Impact category at Hack48! This dynamic 48h hackathon brought together innovators, coders, designers, and marketers to drive the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promote sustainability.

Competing against some of the brightest minds, we developed a groundbreaking solution called BuildAR over the course of the weekend.
What is BuildAR?
BuildAR is a mobile app designed to repurpose exhibition build materials, aiming to significantly reduce the cost and waste associated with the exhibition industry.
By enabling users to buy, sell, and rent exhibition materials, BuildAR tackles the environmental challenges associated with the disposal and production of new materials for exhibitions. Our solution impacts five SDGs, emphasizing sustainability and the circular economy.
BuildAR leverages Monet's core technology, which enables the digitization of physical objects and the creation of customizable virtual environments without the need for programming or design skills. Through AI and computer vision, we have seamlessly transitioned into a new vertical, focusing on sustainability in the exhibition industry.
BuildAR offers features such as:
- Marketplace for Exhibition Materials: Turn inventory into a sustainable revenue generator. Find build materials different institutions have in storage for you to repurpose by buying or renting at a fraction of the cost.
- Carbon Discounts: You get up to 10% discount for locally sourced or sustainable materials and bulk purchases.
- Commission Model: Sellers benefit from a competitive commission rate and unlimited scans to perform condition reporting and automatic insurance compliance.

The global market opportunity for BuildAR is immense, with significant potential across Asia, the GCC, the USA, and Europe. In Qatar alone, there are over 150 exhibitions annually, representing a substantial market ready for disruption.
